The small print, plainly
Cookie policy.
Last updated 12 August 2026.
Most cookie policies are long because the site has a lot to declare. This one is short.
The short version
This website sets no cookies. We run no analytics, no advertising tags, no session tracking and no third-party embeds. There is nothing here to accept or reject, which is why you have never seen a cookie banner on this site — and why you won't.
What we do store on your device
One thing, and only while you are booking. As you work through the booking steps, your answers so far are written to your browser's session storage under the key
noir-booking-v4 so that a refresh or an accidental back-swipe doesn't wipe the form. Session storage is not a cookie: it is never sent to us or to anyone else, it is readable only by this site on this device, and the browser discards it when you close the tab.Why that doesn't need your consent
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as read with UK GDPR) requires consent for storage on your device unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. Holding your half-finished booking so the form still works is exactly that exemption, so no consent prompt is required. Every other kind of storage — the kind that does need consent — simply isn't used here.
Third parties
Three services are contacted while you use the site, none of which sets cookies in your browser:
- Our availability calendar. The booking page reads which days and times are free from our scheduling database (Google Firebase). That request carries none of your details — it only fetches our own calendar.
- A postcode lookup. When you type a postcode, that postcode alone is sent to an address lookup service so we can offer you the matching addresses. None of your other details go with it.
- Netlify. Our host serves the pages and receives your completed booking. Their servers keep standard request logs, as any web server does.
When you leave for WhatsApp
The deposit handoff is a link you choose to click. Once you are in WhatsApp you are on their platform under their terms and their cookie and privacy policies — we have no visibility of, or control over, what they store. The same applies to our Instagram and TikTok links.
Controlling storage yourself
Every browser lets you clear site data and block storage, usually under Privacy or Site settings. Clearing this site's data mid-booking just means starting the form again — nothing else on the site depends on it. Blocking storage entirely will not stop you booking.
